Michael & Carol Barnes
Founders
Michael Kevin Barnes- is a long-time resident of Houston, TX, but now resides in Garland, TX with his wife and a graduate of Texas College. He worked as the Production/Distribution Manager for 27 years at Greensheet, a $50 million-dollar company. He was the recipient of the highest recognition, “Spotlight Awards of Excellence” which is the premier award of recognition given for outstanding achievement. He also received multiple "Keys of Service" awards which is given on a quarterly basis and "The Communication Training Award" for Diversity Development. Some of his responsibilities included being responsible for weekly press reports, control paper usage, and inventory which amounted to a $6 million-dollar yearly expense.
Upon moving to Garland, he became a Financial Advisor for Primerica Financial which he built a team of 8 Associates and finished as the 3rd top District Leader in the State of Texas. In addition to his success as a District Leader, customer education was highly stressed through additional CE annual training to maintain awareness of changes in the market. In his career as an Account Manager in several organizations, Kevin knows what it takes to operate a company within a limited budget as well as great customer service. He is also a huge advocate for the mentoring of young people ensuring them that they can be an asset to their family and not a liability through financial training. He is also the co-host of a media-outlet radio/tv talk show with his wife called “My Better Half with Kevin & K’Ceva” which airs every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month on BetterHalfnetwork.com
Carol Barnes-born and raised in Mississippi, residing in Garland, TX with her husband and 2 successful adult daughters. She attended CTU, where she received her BS in Criminal Justice and Psychology. She has worked in the Federal government for over 29 years where she represented individuals in EEOC, Labor Relations and Federal grievances, and is also certified in Conflict Resolution, Arbitration, and Mediation. She worked as a Police Officer for the City of Dallas but decided to trade in her gun and badge for a pen and paper. Her passion has always been working with youth, teaching them about financial literacy, reading and writing, dressing for success and entrepreneurship. She was also inducted into the “Who’s Who in Black Dallas, 2017 and 2018 for the extraordinary work she is doing with her organization, Tomorrow’s Purpose™.
She is a published author of several books, I Won’t Apologize, I Did It On Purpose, Is There Order In the House, Financial Guide to Estate Planning, and Euroclydon, I’m Still Here which are being sold on Amazon.com and Barnes&Noble.com. She enjoys traveling from state to state as an Inspirational Speaker. She is a co-host with her husband on a media-outlet radio talk and tv show “My Better Half with Kevin & K’Ceva”, every 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month on www.betterhalfkevinkcevanetwork.com where they utilize their platform to promote their business as well as other small businesses in the community. Eudora Barnes
Community Outreach Director
Eudora Barnes was born and raised in Dallas, TX. She received her Bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and completed her Master's program at West Texas A&M University, obtaining a MBA in Healthcare Management. She works for a major health insurance company and advocates for her family, friends, community and those around her to educate themselves on their health and health care options.
Eudora loves the Lord and is very active in the church, involved in several ministries and committees. She is also active in the community assisting in various events such as health fairs, 5k walk/runs, and anything that Tomorrow's Purpose hosts. She also hosts financial literacy workshops to
help educate and empower adults on financial instant impact, and teach them how to write off and track expenses, track their miles, get money back in their paycheck and on income taxes! Eudora is passionate about empowering other women and is no stranger to modeling and fashion. She modeled as a kid and landed opportunities in newspapers, magazines and headshots with the famous Kim Dawson. She shares her fashion and travel tips on her Instagram page (heiress_of_god) and is currently working on her blog site. Stay tuned! Professional with over 15 yrs. of experience in customer services, management and
graphic design. In June 2017, she combined her passion for design with her customer
service management skills and established Aesthetic Creative Designs. As a talented
graphic artist Shenell has created some of the most unique company logos, brochures,
flyers, business cards and presentations for a wide range of clients.

Brenda Harrison-Wakefield

The owner of Better Health and an Optimization Health Specialist and
a Licensed Therapeutic Bodyworker, Certified Health coach, Certified Wireless
Safety Educator and supplier of wellness products. Brenda served in the Air Force
for 20 yrs. as a Military Training Instructor and a Financial Manager. She holds 2
Associate Degrees (Financial Management/ Instructor Technology), Bachelor of
Science Degrees in Human Resource and a Master of Science Degree in Human
Resource Management and PH.D. in Holistic Health and Nutrition. She is a member
Of the Rowlett Chamber of Commerce, Associated Massage Bodywork Professional,
